WATCH 22 FORMER NFL PLAYERS AS WELL AS COLLEGE STARS IN THE REVAMPED XFL (PART 2)

Jazz Ferguson, WR

He ran one 4.45 at the combine, yet went undrafted in 2019, ultimately joining the Seattle Seahawks for the training camp as well as spending time on the practice squad of the team. Should he shine in the offense of Stoops, he could be in for one big year. Great!

DC Defenders

Head coach: Pep Hamilton

Home stadium: Audi Field

Odds to win the title: 7/2

Key players: Tyree Jackson (QB), Cardale Jones (QB), Matt Elam (S), Scooby Wright (LB)

Cardale Jones, QB

Stat line in Week 1: 16/26, 2 touchdowns, 235 passing yards, 116.7 rating

The reason to remember him: He won one national championship as the Ohio State Buckeyes’ quarterback in 2016.

When being taken in the fourth round by the Bills, he struggled to find the footing in the NFL, investing time with the Seahawks and Chargers yet never getting a longer shot on one active roster.

As the beginning quarterback for the Defenders, Jones will likely have a decent amount of support from the Buckeyes fans over the country. Nice!

Tyree Jackson, QB

Stat line in Week 1: 1 attempt, 5 yards

The reason to remember him: At 6’7″, missing Tyree Jackson is tough. The Buffalo alum got undrafted in 2019 and signed with the Bills for the training camp, yet was, in the end, cut before the season’s start.

While Jackson is backing up Jones to kick off the year in the XFL, his size and arm should make him one to watch. Cannot wait!

Scooby Wright, LB

Stat line in Week 1: N/A

The reason to remember him: He is another player who has always been just a steady job’s outside in the NFL.

He had one successive college career with Arizona that saw him named the Year’s Pac-12 Defensive Player in 2014.

1. Dallas Renegades

Head coach: Bob Stoops

Home stadium: Arlington – Globe Life Park

Odds for winning title: 5/1

Key players: Jazz Furguson (WR), Landry Jones (QB)

Landry Jones, QB

Stat line in Week 1: N/A — out with one knee injury

The reason to remember him: He first got notoriety as one Oklahoma Sooner. After the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 2013 draft’s fourth round chose him, he backed up Ben Roethlisberger over the 2018 season, showing up in up to 18 games throughout his NFL career.

Even though he did not see extended time as one starting quarterback, this player did have success in the limited opportunities, getting one 3-2 career record.

He, with the Dallas Renegades, is reunited with Bob Stoops – the college coach. Expect the Renegades to turn into being among the much more pass-happy teams over the league.

Jazz Ferguson, WR

Stat line in Week 1: 9 receiving yards, two receptions

The reason to remember him: He should emerge as being one of the top receivers of the team.
