Once a player manages to score a touchdown, six points will be awarded to the team. The touchdown can be scored through either receiving the ball from the pass while in the end zone or carrying the ball to that zone. The touchdown has been scored, and then the attacking team have the chance to kick the ball for the extra point. As required, the ball passes between the upright posts for the successful kick.
The field goal is possibly scored from anywhere on a pitch from any time (often on the final down). Also, the successful kick will lead to three points. The safety is where the team of defence manages to handle the attacking opponent in their end zone; for that, the team will get two points.
Winning Your Game
If your team has the most points at the game’s end, it will be deemed the one that wins. When the scores are tied, overtime will be expected to come into play in which the teams will play the additional quarter until the winner is found.
American Football’s Rules
The games will last for four 15-minute quarters. The 2-minute break between the first & second and third & fourth quarters is inclusive along with the rest of 15 minutes between the second and third quarters (half time).
A team has four downs to gain 10 yards or more. They can run or throw the ball for making the yards. Once the group achieves the needed yards, the downs reset. The yardage resets as well. Failure to make the yardage following four downs will lead to a turnover.
There are many different plays which players can run on the down. Plays are made up through the teams and tend to have players running across the place in what is organized chaos.
