Offense

  • Center (1 person)
  • Offensive Guard (2 people)
  • Offensive Tackle (2 people)

  • Half Back / Running Back (1-2 people)
  • Full Back / Set Back (1 person)
  • Wide Receiver (2-4 people)
  • Tight End (1-3 people): this position is a combination of midfield position and striker to catch the ball

Attacking midfield: Arranged along horizontal lines on the field. The five Offensive lines consist of Center in the middle, flanked by two Guard, and the outer two have Tackle, usually the tallest person on the football field. Tight End will be incorporated into Formations depending on the match situation. Midfield has two main tasks: protecting Quarterback and creating a running path for Running Back. The attacking midfield of the NFL has an average height and weight of 1.95 meters and 141 kg.

Skill positions are a group of players normally responsible for scoring on the field, including Wide receiver, Running back, Tight end, and Full back. These players join the attack by taking the ball from the center and then running.

Quarterback is often referred to as the most important player on the offensive team in particular, and the entire team in general. Quarterback kept the captain position because he was in charge of distributing the ball during the game by pitching or delivering the ball to running back. To play this position, players need to have good vision, good pitch and leadership.

Defense

  • Defensive End (2 people)
  • Defensive / Nose Tackle (1-2 people)
  • Outside Linebacker (1-2 people)
  • Inside Linebacker / Middle Linebacker (1-2 people)
  • Cornerback
  • Safety

The Defensive line consists of 3 or 4 Defensive Midfielders lined up parallel to the attacking midfielders. The two sides of the end of the row consists of two Defensive endings, the inside is one to two Defensive tackle depending on the defensive formation. The main task of the players playing in this position is to prevent the opponent’s attack team from shortening the distance to the Endzone by blocking the run and putting pressure on the opponent’s Center.
